New To The Blogging World - Rasheed Wallace

Apparently Sheed has taken his blogging skills over to Yardbarker. Right now his page only has this quick intro post.

"Wanna say what's up to the Yardbarker nation, it's ya boy Sheed Wallace talkin to ya. New to the "Yard" just want to let everyone know a little about me. I'm an avid football and boxing fan but pretty much watch all sports. Grew up in the city of brotherly love "Philly," and love all pro teams there except for the Eagles (long story share another time). Went to North Carolina @ Chapel Hill and after 2 years decided to go to "The League." Now I'm ballin with the Pistons and lovin it. We're in the midst of snatchin another title. I'm live and in full effect and I will be talkin to you good people later."

So we wait for more of what.....

Thanks to Billfer over at Detroit Tigers Weblog for emailing me in the wee hours of the morning to make sure I didn't miss a thing.

I welcome 'Sheed to this net, instead of the basketball ones. And I am totally looking forward to seeing a big "X" over that 1 at the top of your page, Natalie. Tonight's the night. It's time.

This is a joke, right?
Verified athlete my eye. We call this identity theft.

I was surprised myself but I don't think its a joke.

If he wanted to blog, I would have happily given him carte blanche at Need4Sheed...if this isn't the perfect place for him I don't know what is.

On another note..game is tomorrow (WED) and I'll be crossing off the 16 , since we cont down to the trophy.

I don't think this is real to be honest.

I was skeptical too but it's on the front page of Yardbarker as verified so I take it to be true.

Hey, this is Pete from Yardbarker. Natalie, this one was for you! I can assure you and your readers that it is indeed Sheed himself blogging on our site, and that he intends to keep things going. If there's anything in particular you think he should get into in his blog, let me know and I'll mention it... or just leave a comment for him on his blog.

hey nat, u know what i realize about need4sheed "sheed says...." im sure a lot of people want to see/hear "sheed does/did...this/that" i know he did a descent job in game 1, but being focus/serious down the stretch was lacking. im not singling him out, all of the starters didn't play well but for sheed to be talking a lot (which everybody knows), lets see he can walk-to-walk.

I wrote a poem about the Pistons' playoff run and since we're all probably a tiny bit down in light of the loss on Sunday, I thought I'd share it now:

the Celtic buzz will slowly decrease
the two-year hiatus brought to an end
regret will command the heart and soul
of a certain afro-donning friend

the center stage will be yours to take
and you'll stand on it as the East's best
but despite your 12 hard-fought victories
most people's eyes will be fixed on the West

but you couldn't care less what they think
let them believe as they did in '04
when they presumed you dead on arrival
dare them to doubt you one season more

as the playoffs continue to progress
those doubting eyes will shift toward you
and between the waves of "oohs" and "ahhs"
they'll wonder "what else can these old men do?"

you'll demonstrate your hunger and skill
with every dunk, board, and pass
and you'll do so with a killer instinct
and that notorious poise and class

and when the dust settles and the smoke clears
as the underdogs you'll again stand tall
and every true blue collar fan will scream:
DEEE-TROOOIIIT! BAAA-SKET-BAAALL!

your critics will be drown out and vanish
denying their odds you fought to defy
you'll reclaim your title as champion
as you raise that golden cup to the sky

I hope you all enjoyed it.
Now let's go get Game 2, boys!

Amanda, cute poem! I definitely enjoyed it a lot. It made me feel better considering what happened with game 1. Pistons fans like you are the best!

It's time to take this shit seriously. The playoffs are not a time to be arrogant. If we're gone bring these rings home, we have to go to work each night, no matter who were playin.

I am going to go with FAKE..Sheed would never talk about his history because A)Everyone already knows that basic info..and B)If he was going to talk about Philly, he would have mentioned Gratz H.S.

He also said,"Snatchin that Title"

When it's been,"Gettin that Ship"

Just my opinion, but someone is trying to be Sheed.

Is it me or does "Live and in Full effect" sound just too cliche for Sheed to use. Cmon Sheed is all about originality

Blogger The Fluidics said...

live and in full effect sounds pretty sheed, because he is old school.
