ESPN: John Hammond to The Bucks
ESPN is reporting that John Hammond has been lured away for The Pistons ...
"Various teams have tried in recent years, but it's the Milwaukee Bucks who have managed to lure John Hammond away from the Detroit Pistons to be their new general manager, according to NBA front-office sources." Via ESPN.com
I'm not happy, but Hammond's departure doesn't surprise me. He has proven he can be a GM in the NBA and deserves a shot. If this is in fact true, does Isiah have a shot at his job now that the so called water is under the bride? Love Zeke, but no thanks.

It's too bad that he's gone, but I'd never deny a guy a chance at a promotion, even if it is with another team. Good luck John, just not too much good luck!

If the Pistons and Boston Celtics hook up in the Eastern Conference Finals, Knicks coach Isiah Thomas will be rooting hard for his former team.
"I always cheer for the Pistons and I always want them to beat the Celtics," Thomas said. "Larry Bird will always be a Celtic, even when he's working for the Indiana Pacers, and Kevin McHale will always be a Celtic, even when he works for Minnesota. I'll always be a Piston that works for the New York Knicks."
Chauncey Billups, who was honored Tuesday along with Thomas as members of the Pistons' All-Time Team, said Thomas' feelings are heartfelt.
"He's adamant about that," Billups said. "It's like some old feelings came back. It's good to see guys like that who bleed red, white and blue no matter where they're at. I'm sure I'll be the same way."

why wouldn't it be a good idea for Isiah to replace John Hammonds? just looking for the rationale for this opinion and where its coming from?
anyway, Nat thanks Much for posting the vids of the 50th ceremony and painting a picture of the atmosphere that night. i've been a die hard Piston fan since 7 years old (now 28) from the south-side of Chicago and it was great to see all the history..... fariduddin have you seen what Isiah has done to the Knicks?
Isiah may have been a great basketball player but he is not a great front office decision maker.
