Pistons Host Cleveland

The Detroit Pistons vs. The Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers will be at The Palace tonight that essentially means nothing for Detroit on paper. There is a matter of pride involved, especially after their lackluster performance in Cleveland a week ago. If anything, I think this should addressed by The Pistons and the fans at The Palace.

The Cavaliers will try to avoid losing their third straight. The Cavs have dropped two straight and five of its last eight games. Daniel Gibson is probable , while guard Delonte West and center Ben Wallace(back)are listed as questionable for tonight. No official word yet on Richard Hamilton, but if I had money on it, I would expect him back in the starting lineup.

Sheed will probably agree that this will be the only King at The Palace tonight.
King James
But there will be a Clown.

Anderson Varejao is a Clown
Tip off is at 7:30 PM and will be locally broadcast on WDIV and Nationally on NBATV. If you can't catch it on TV you can always tune in to 1130 AM WDFN The Fan or stream it live through your computer at NBA.com. You can also chat live during the game with The Pistons Dave Wieme.

lol Rip is 0-5 so far. The Pistons need to dust him off, he hasn't been in used for 3 games...

Oh my...I'm not watching this game (Damn you, Waco cable service!) but whatever it is the Pistons are doing (except Rip missing shots), they need to keep doing it. Screw half time break! Let them play! Don't disrupt the good flow.

I have to say that was one of the best (raising baner) ceromonies I have seen. Clarie halftime was amazing. You have to find a way to watch it.. Im sure Nat has everyones back who missed it. It brought tears to my eyes and I was just a baby in that era (1989-1990) but have seen so many videos, I feel like I lived through it too! IT WAS AMAZING!

They finally applaud BEN! AWW how sweet... but why did they have to wait until he got hurt?

9:13 PM, March 29, 2008
Blogger claire said...

Jess, it's better late than never. At least they applauded him.

Speaking of watching the game, I haven't seen a Pistons game in WEEKS!!! This must be how drug addicts feel like.

By the way, the Pistons should stop jacking up 3's!!! They're not Boobie Gibson, nobody's gonna leave them open, even if Lebron's not on their team.

Claire, you're missing out on a pretty good game. & LMAO @ the drug addict comment.

& you just missed an amazing buzzer-beater by Stuck!

Will the real Rip Hamilton please stand up?

He's 3-12, and somehow, he has most points so far for the Pistons. He must have made an offering to the basketball gods earlier tonight. Lol of course I'm kidding, keep killing it at the FT line, Rip!

Why does Tay keep looking at his right elbow after every possession? It's kind of starting to worry me.

9:40 PM, March 29, 2008
Blogger claire said...

No, Jess, you're missing out! It's incredibly fun reading the play-by-play on yahoo.com, you have no idea! How can watching Lebron turning the ball over be as satisfying as reading about it? Pssttt...I'm kidding of course.

But I'm kinda used to it though, not being able to watch the games...as a matter of fact, I think I'm learning technical terms for basketball. It's no longer: "Oh damn, Max just snatched that ball" It's Maxiell has offensively rebounded that ball.

Well, I think I'm done embarassing myself.

I don't know what's better, reading "Official Time Out # 3" or watching truck commercials?

Oh Damn, just when I thought Flip should take Tay out, he did! And the Pistons seem to stop jacking 3's too! Alright, next up is..."Stuckey taking his pet, Boobie, to school for show-and-tell"

I always applaud Ben, during the intro. Once the game starts however, he's just another Cav. Tough to see a guy go down, I hope he's alright.
This was a great game to be at. Dyess was a beast, Max was eating babies, it was fun.
Sideshop bob flopped twice, got no calls, so then decided to play basketball again. He's a dirty player, so it was nice that he didn't have me hating on him all night.

And how glad was I to be at the game for Mr. McCloskey ceremony. He came out, first words he said was "bey, we sure are whoopin on these Cavs, aren't we?
How awesome is he? I've been going to Pistons games since they played at the Silverdome, so to see all those guys showing love to the guy that essentially made this club what it is, well, that was just something special.

All around great night, great win for the guys.

Oh, as for Rip's scoring, doesn't matter. He was on Lebron for D all night, and did a damn good job at it. Season low for the "King", held to 13.

following the game on my phone i actually had no idea lebron was even playing. when it was 60-35 and I didn't see Lebron leading the team in any statistical categories for his team, i thought was perhaps we were only doing this well because he was sitting.

when i came home it turns out that he had a terrible game. awesome.

Dyce has been our energy guy. He's more hungry for those rebounds than Maxell. That was just inspiring. We absolutely eliminated the effect of that clown with our rebounding effort.
I don't know how much hurt is Gibson, but the way rip and billups were torturing Jones, Mike Brown was almost afraid of putting Gibson in the game.

I don't get why they didn't play Joe Smith more, he was really good against us with the bulls.

I was at the game last night. I'll have the video highlight up in about 25 more minutes. Plenty Deeeetroit Basketballll!!!!!
