The Pistons are in Washington

The Detroit Pistons vs. The Wizards

This Pistons are set to take on the 35-33 Washington Wizards tonight in this just the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Pistons took the first one 106-93 in Washington. Detroit is going for their 50th win of the season tonight, but the game is more important to the Wizards, who are clinging to fifth place with a half game lead on Toronto. After tonight's home game, Washington goes on a five game road trip to end the month of March.

The Wizards have been playing well even with injuries to key players (Butler and Arenas). It's possible we may even see the return of Gilbert Arenas tonight, who's been out most of the season with a knee injury.

Tip off is at 8:00 PM and will be locally broadcast on FAN Detroit and Nationally on ESON. If you can't catch it on TV you can always tune in to 1130 AM WDFN The Fan or stream it live through your computer at NBA.com.

Leave 'em in the comments.

Frustrating but they aren't knocking down shots. I don't think you can put it all on Flip.

ever since sheeds tech the pistons have been missing shots, not that it should have been one... correct me if I am wrong but didn't the pistons have a hard time last year getting to 50 wins as well?

Players are coaches are sounding like a f'n broken record....

"energy level wasn't there"

"We didn't execute on both ends of the floor"

"We gave up too many points in the paint"

"We started off sluggish"

"Thats a good team we played tonight"

let me know if I left any out

that we sucked dick and cant make a shot and dont have a guy that cant take control of a game by himself and they get scared.. idk thats what i would say cuz thats what they do.. at least miguel cabrera signed for 8 yrs!!!! for 153.3 million!!

this is a problem. when we aren't making shots we need someone who can jump in and dominate. i think chauncey can be that person but he has to accept that role.

I agree, Flip Saunders is more like a Baby Sitter than a Coach. The Pistons need a more stronger presence, someone more diciplined at the helm. Thats why Larry Brown and the Pistons were a great marriage. Oh well, what ever happened to "We arent going to be complacent this year?" Seems to me thats all i see from them lately. I understand that we already have the 2 spot locked up, but we all saw what happened when we finish the season off sluggish... No Ship at the end of the Season. Anyway, I still have faith..... but its slowly slipping away...

I was just looking at the box score form last night, we won the rebound war 39-32, had move ast 24-21 and took more shots they just weren't falling and not the best selection either... If I was just looking at the stats and did not watch the game I would think the pistons took this one until I looked at washingtons shotts made and the final score... A big problem this year is that the pistons are missing the important shots also I noticed well watching the game flip is still playing with the rotatios Iknow that is no reason for the pistons to lose but you would think he would have it down packed by now...
