Pistons Go For 11 Straight

The Detroit Pistons vs. The Magic

The Pistons host The Orlando Magic tonight in their first game back from All Star weekend. Detroit is looking to extend their 10 game winning steak against the Slam Dunk Champion and the rest of his crew. I will not get into any silly Superman references, simply because I have heard them all and I'm hoping our very own super hero emerges tonight.

But in all seriousness, wasn't Dwight great Saturday night?

Tip off is at 7:30 and is locally broadcast on FSN Detroit. If you can't catch it on TV you can always tune in to 1130 AM WDFN The Fan or stream it live through your computer at NBA.com. The 33-21 Magic haven't won at The Palace in their last seven trips, dating back to Feb. 22, 2004. The Pistons have won all seven of their home games in the past month and own one of the best home records in the league at 21-4.

I'm off, so I'm leaving it up to you here in the comments or Live in the Need4Sheed Forum Chat Room. I promised myself, and the poor fools who always end up with me, that I would not harp on the fact that Carlos Arroyo bothers me. I pretty much say it every time he's out there on the floor and have also been having a field day with his support hose. So here's to me keeping my word and to another Pistons victory.

That was a staged dunk contest. I'm guessing Barkley had money bets on Dwight, the way they made nothings seem like miracles.

Cheers to hoping next year the winner will actually dunk the ball.

I really do not fell howards wasa dunk and he should not have gotten such a good acore... yes he had a great first dunk and some nice thrid and forth dunks that second one was not a dunk and it was teh same as moons. I hope to see moon next year again

this game is crap, majics player yells at the refs and teh calls is chance but it that was sheed yelling he would have got a tech called on him and the play would have stayed teh same, now I am not getting on a hate teh refs but that was a questionable call

I know what was up with Billups tonight, he drove to the basket way too much, its almost like he was trying to be stuckey or somwthing... didn't we realize after the 4th time that he wasn't going to get a call or make the shot... the pistons played very selfish basketball tonight and that is why they lst this game. no one played well except maybe dycess... tay did a good job on D and on turkoglu, he only had 6 when tay was playing him however tay sucked on O so it didn't matter. .well lets just put this one behind us and get ready for the next game, we can't win them all. this game is one I want to forget.

I think the turning point in this game was when the call was over turned when tay was fouled them tehy called it a foul on tay, the pistons changed its like they decided tehy game was lost...

sounds like the crowd stay in this one and didn't give up, I was still think the pistons could have come back until about 2:00 minutes left in the game...

It's a running gag, the Pistons after te all star break. Here's to hoping tomorow they snap out of it.
At least I got to heckle Jack, who did make a few god awful calls.

Stuckey's game was nice though.

yes stuckey did play a nice game,
heres to putting the all star weekend behind us and getting back to the basketball we all know, did someone forget to the majic that it is the pistons who come in a blow teams out not the other way around?

that was pretty damn ugly.

For the first time in awhile I turned off the game early. I just knew that we had given up.

I agree jessi, the turning point was the overturned call. That was just so much bs on the part of the refs because that call was subjective so you always should go in favor of the first call made. I think it's a joke that the NBA allows them to do that. It killed any sort of momentum of comeback, and basically was the refs telling the pistons that the game was over for them because from that point on they basically got no calls to go their way.

hey jess, i agree with you. chaunce was a little too agressive at the wrong time at the wrong place, it did make him look like stuckey, except the indecisive stuckey. i agree with coach flip on this one, completely lack of defense. he has the right to be more vocal on how they loss. i almost saw a completely different team. and plus, did anybody even notice that almost the whole time none of the pistons were contesting their shot? PATHETIC!
