Around The Way

  • Dave Wieme from the Pistons has a great behind the scenes video of The Pistons Media day. He's also got many more to come throughout the season. Our good friend Matt Watson made an appearance, just look for the tall guy.
  • Gilbert Arenas has been bad mouthing our new Piston Jarvis Hayes.
  • I did a Pistons season preview for About.com.
  • As many of you (Team Need4Sheed) have pointed out to me, NBA.com mentioned the site in their Pistons team preview.
  • Another member of Team Need4Sheed (Mike) just let me know that Amir Johnson likes the cartoon rendition I made of him. He's using it as his MySpace Picture.
  • "Flip Murray should get a chance to play some this season, primarily as a backup to Richard Hamilton. He also will play some point guard, although most of the minutes off the bench at that position are expected to go to Rodney Stuckey." A Sherrod Blakely
  • A must read over at TrueHoop for anyone who knows the Doug Christie saga.

On the Gilbert Vs. Jarvis article from the Washington post:

It seems from the comments that Wizards fans didn't like Jarvis Hayes poor shooting. From his 5of13 performance in the Magic game I'd say they might speak from experience on this issue.

I am going to cut Jarvis some slack considering it's just one game. Anyone can get a chance to take a shot while playing with Arenas has got to be doing something right.

Jarvis just joined the team, and Anus is a self promoting lout, how the hell did he get picked to be on the cover of that NBA game??

Natalie, you go girl, About.com and
AJ's myspace page, by the way, did he pay you for usage of that icon?

As to Doug Christie and wife, they are freaks, has beens who can't even get a cable show going, Torie Spelling's lame ass show gets more viewers which is kind of nauseating.

I've never liked Gilbert Arenas or Hibachi or Jackass or whatever the hell he's calling himself nowadays.

I hope the guy who wrote that blog isn't considered a good sports writer in D.C. His comments are about as sophisticated as a 13 year old boy's. Looks like Washington has idiots outside the White House too.

Did Anony. 1:00pm mean Heat instead of Magic or is this "Magic game" some important event I should know about?

Kudos on getting mentioned on NBA.com, on writing for About.com, and on having your cartoon used by Amir, Natalie. Keep up the great work!

I noticed you stated "Rasheed Wallace and Flip Saunders need to be on the same page" as your first resonse to the 4th question. Did you say that first because you are concerned about it or because Rasheed is always on your mind? lol

We all know the original Team Need4sheed help is... *cough* me.. Hahaha, just kidding. Anyway, just thought i would drop a line about Hibachi.. He is hard headed, who cares. Lets just focus on how well Jarvis is going to help this team! He is going to be amazing, hitting the open J! Also want to point out how Rodney Stuckey is freaking gonna be the next D-Wade/B Diddy hybrid, and Amir is the next KG/Amare hybrid, and Jason Maxiell is the next Ben Wallace/Charles Barkley hybrid.... I know im excited... WHAT ABOUT YOU??????
