wow, after reading the article about Laimbeer, I wished I could just somehow hypnotized Joe Dumars into hiring Laimbeer as the Pistons' head coach. Please end this "FLIP"pin' nonsense.

is there any reason really to keep flip???

I GOT SOOO HAPPY WHEN I READ "Chauncey Billups signs..."

I honestly thought it was gonna say "...back with the PISTONS!"

I got all kinds of happy.. omg my heart skipped a beat.. TEN different things ran through my head just reading those 3 words.

I WAS LIKE ALREADY!! YAY!! (Im bein so serious.. just those 3 words made me think that.)

lol jess, i know how you feel, i thought it meant that billups would sign with the pistons too.

Dear Natalie, how or where do you find all these news about the pistons? you're just so caught up with everything about them =)

There's no reason to keep Flip because he has proven nothing except that he folds under pressure. Laimbeer has at least won a championship as a coach.

It was with the Shock, but a championship is a championship.

Just came back from a meeting and logged on- all I saw was "Chauncey Billups signs" and felt this burden was lifted. I continued reading and felt sick to my stomach again. I don't know how much I can take this.

There is a reason to keep flip...it will cost less. remember when things were about winning and not just money...im not liking where the NBA is going but I do like what blaha had to say on the nba website "I think you can make a change here or there, where the Pistons maybe need a little help, and give the four core players the kind of support they need to take it back to the Finals next year."

Im sick of everyone acting like we did so bad that the whole team is breaking up...Anyone can see that we were the better team, ill be sad to see anyone leave besides flip s. If billups leaves i won't hate him but i will hope whatever team he goes to does poorly, getting money hungry doesn't deserve a win since i know Joe's gunna try hard to keep him.

Sorry Uyen,
It honestly wasn't my intent to mislead.
As for how I know about Piston info....I scour the net every day, my RSS feed helps too.

Thank you, this thing turned into something I wasn't planning but I am having a blast doing it. If you see me at a game I would love to talk Pistons, it's funny I feel like I know most of you already anyway!

I know you still gotta pay a coach if/when you fire them. I also know FLIP has 10 million with two years left in his contract. What I need answered is: do they have to pay the whole 10 million even if they fire him? I mean is that the way it goes?

(sorry if its a dumb question)

I DONT KNOW IF THIS HELPS.. BUT ITS WORTH READING!

Alonzo: Do you think Joe Dumars would consider trading Rasheed Wallace? I mean, he did take himself out of an elimination game. We had no chance after that.

Langlois: The handwriting was on the wall when Rasheed fouled out and picked up the technicals that would have made him unavailable for Game 7. But do they consider trading him? I’d say that if Joe Dumars concludes that he is unlikely to be able to add enough firepower in the draft or free agency to close the gap, then everything is on the table. Wallace would have appeal to a handful of teams who view him now as the Pistons did 3½ years ago – the missing piece. His contract isn’t unmanageable with just two years remaining. But understand this: It’s very unlikely the Pistons would move Wallace and get something back in return that would make them better next year. The likelier course in trading Wallace would be to take back a veteran with a bad contract plus a cheap young talent with potential. And that, by itself, won’t improve the Pistons for next season.

AND WHEN SOMEONE ASKED SOMETHING ABOUT CHAUNCEY AND LAIMBEER...

Langlois:...And, of course, the major question looming over the summer is the fate of Chauncey Billups. I still think it’s far more likely than not that he comes back to the Pistons. Laimbeer might very well make a good NBA head coach, but it would be tough to put him in charge of a team with championship potential until he’s proven himself. His WNBA experience is a valuable line on his resume, but I’m not sure how much it would resonate with NBA players.

Totally agree- Natalie, everyday I get on my computer and head straight here! Definetly a hightlight of the day!

I want Marion! That's all there is to it. Whether it's a possiblity or not, I don't know. But I LOVE this guy, and I think he can represent what a Piston is.

hey nat,

the detroit news has an article titled "Pistons need a Wallace," which is talking about something we already know - how Sheed plays with a burning passion - but still makes me feel slightly better about that last loss.

http://detroitnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070606/SPORTS08/706060379/1004/SPORTS

this too from the detroit news (http://detroitnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070604/SPORTS08/706040360/1004/SPORTS_): ...the quote made me want to cry all over again...

"Backup Antonio McDyess was devastated. Words caught in his throat as he acknowledged his last best chance for a championship might have evaporated.

"I feel like I'm at the end of my career and it just ain't gonna happen," said McDyess, 32, who has a contract option to return. "Tonight, I accepted that I'm never gonna win. I felt this team was the one to get us there. We had all the chances in the world and we blew it. It seems like it's over for me now."

the pistons have GOT to re-sign dice, figure out the rest of the mess they're in, and give this guy a ring. he deserves it after the career he's had and considering he's our best player off the bench!

Hey natalie! I sent you that picture Fire Flip! Honestly why would you get rid of Sheed before the problem aka Flip that's why I believe he (Joey D) should keep Sheed. Its obvious that Flip folds under pressure. If you want some more signs made i'll make some more

Why I hate LeBron James
1.) Has his name on some shitty gum
2.) Is a horrible rapper and thinks he’s sweet at it when sheed would kill him in a freestyle any day of the week (which I would pay a lot of money to see one day)
3.) His nose always looks broken
4.) Chews his nail a lot? Sometimes I can’t believe there is anything left, it’s painful to watch
5.) Acts like he is Michael Jordan? I think that’s a bit of a stretch to say right now, half his points are free throws anyways.
6.) Was too good for college….I cant wait until 4 years from now someone else who actually took some time improved his mistakes is the next poster boy and lebron is pushed down to version wireless ads with the that’s so raven girl.

Help me out here…..

haha you know tho i do kidna feel bad for gibson, i heard TNT say something about watching "LeBron and company"...id hate to be on a team where im not even recognized for having an amazing game. i hope the pistons never in my lifetime get obsessed with superstar poster boys that think they are gods gift to this world.

11:37 PM, June 06, 2007
Anonymous baller said...

i said it before and i'll say it again...quit crying about what happened because its not gonna make any difference.

we got our ass kicked because we didnt play good in the first 5 game of the series. we could've easily stopped lebron in game 5 but didnt because of our fuckin idiot ass coach.

WE NEED A NEW COACH BECAUSE OUR DEFENSE THAT WE LEARNED FROM LARRY BROWN IS SLOWLY GOING AWAY NOW.

and guys....as much as i love the pistons and as much as i hate the cavaliers, i still dont give a fuck about what anyone says about lebron.

he did what he needed to do to give his team a win and all that ok, and NO he is NOT even close to be compared to jordan unless he wins 6 championships in 13 seasons.

SO PLEASE..QUIT SAYIN U CANT WATCH TV ANYMORE AND SHYT LIKE THAT JUST BECAUSE LEBRON IS IN IT. ITS A SPORT...SHYT LIKE THIS HAPPENS EVERY YEAR JUST BE STRONG.

LETS JUST HOPE DUMARS MAKES SUPER SMART DECISIONS THIS OFFSEASON AND GETS US A TEAM LIKE WE HAD IN 2004 THAT WAS HUNGRY FOR CHAMPIONSHIP.

NO, WE DONT NEED TO TRADE SHEED BUT AS MUCH AS I LIKE HIM I WOULD RATHER TRADE HIM INSTEAD OF CHAUNCEY, RIP, AND TAY. THATS ONLY IF WE CAN GET A STRONGER LINEUP.

TRADES HAPPEN ALL THE TIME GUYS. I LOVE THIS LINE-UP TOO BUT U CANT GET USED TO WATCHING THIS SAME TEAM PLAY EVERY SEASON, BECAUSE IF NOT THIS YEAR SOME-DAY THEY WILL SPLIT UP SO LETS JUST HOPE TO GET THE BEST OF IT.

NBA FINALS START TOMMORROW AND I'M GOING FOR THE CAVS JUST BECAUSE I HATE THE SPURS MUCH MORE.

SO PLEASE GET OVER THE LOSS AND ENJOY THE FINALS. I'MA PISTONS FAN TO DEATH SO DONT GET ME WRONG HERE AND I'M SORRY IF I SAID SUMTIN WRONG. I JUST GOT SICK BECAUSE SOME OF U JUST WONT QUIT CRYIN ABOUT IT. LEAVE THE BAD MEMORIES BEHIND AND JUST ENJOY THE FINALS.

2 months from now u will be on this website, all excited talking about how we will kick ass the 07-08 season and i'll bet on that.

and a year from now u will be on the same site telling people how everyone's talking about pistons going in the finals.

so STOP crying because its not gonna change anything. just watch the finals tomorrow and if u really really hate lebron hopefully spurs whoopin on him tommorow will put a smile on ur face.

12:13 AM, June 07, 2007

...and as forr u bigdee, yes the finals are definately important because it will tell us which team is gonna be more desperate for the gold next season.

and u can hate lebron and wade, but to me they're both great players. thats like every state besides michigan hating the pistons because they beat their favorite teams. but u're a pistons fan and thats all that matters.

but yea enjoy the finals tho hopefully it will help you all get over our loss. by the way whose everyone going for because i'm sure everyone hates the spurs as much as the cavs.

WHY IS EVERYONE HATING ON FLIP? DID YALL FORGET ABOUT WEBBER? THE GUY IS NAILED TO THE GROUND AND THATS WHY WE LOST... WHY DID WE HAVE PROBLEM WITH LEADERSHIP? WELL LETS LOOK BACK WHO LEFT THE PISTONS RECENTLY? OH YEAH BEN WALLACE.WASNT HE THE LEADER OF THIS TEAM? WHY COULDNT SHEED SHUT HIS MOUTH? BECUZ BEN WALLACE ISNT HERE TO TELL HIM TO SHUT UP AND PLAY.. IF BEN WALLACE SHOT FREETHROWS LIKE HE DID WITH CHI WE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE 2 SHIPS RITE NOW.

BEN=LEADER/WEBBER?=NOTHING
BILLUPS= BRAINS
RIP= ENGINE
SHEED= EMOTION
TAY= STOPPER

AT LEAST BEN GAVE US SOMETHING IN THE DEFENSIVE END EVEN THOUGH HE WASNT SO GOOD IN OFFENCE BUT WHAT DID WEBBER GIVE US IN THE PLAYOFFS? NOTHING JUST SOMEONE WHO CAN BARELY WALK I RATHER HAVE AMIR JOHNSON IN MY STARTING LINEUP ALL THE POINTS WEBBER MADE WERE WIDE OPEN ANYONE COULD HAVE SCORED ALL OF THOSE SHOTS

Shit, I'm not watching the Finals. Didn't watch 'em last year, not watching 'em this year. Anything other than Detroit Basketball is a waste of my time.

I'm torn between who I want to win. On the one hand, I HATE LEBRON and I don't want to see him be given the MVP award and the O' Brien trophy. Can you imagine what we'll have to endure when we play the Cavs next season? "What a beautiful play by the Finals MVP!" On the other hand, I want the East to get better recognition to help put an end to labels such as "weak" and "inferior" and I don't really like Manu Ginob-ugly or Tony Parker or Robert Horry. And then on a third hand, if the Cavs win because LeBron gets the golden boy treatment, we can get together with the Spurs fans and ambush Stern, force him into submission, tattoo "ASS CLOWN" on his forhead and throw large metal objects at him. Eh, fuck it. GO SPURS! NUN POWER!

Turn on the TV tomorrow and they'll say "coming to you from San Antonio game 1 Spurs VS Pistons" You all know I must be smoking some good as crack :)

amanda, uyen, jess, and bigdee...we would all love to see the pistons be in the finals but we're gonna have to wait another year.

i'm only gonna watch the second half of the game tommorrow.

i been over saturday's loss already because i been hangin out with friends all week...and the took rest of my anger out on cavs playing nba live 07....i just hope u guys can find something to get ur minds off it aswell.

Also i will cry about the pistons loss as long as i want to, last year wasnt as bad as this year beacuse mia did out play us but i will never say the cavs series was fair. I think part of the reson we started to not make shots is because we let the refs calls get us rattled and without a coach who knows what to do in that situation we lost.

I totally agree 1:48,saunders totally blew this for us.You could see it!The only reason he,s not gone in my opinion is davidson.The rebuilding will begin. This team can't remain the same and expect a differant outcome.
