Pistons Balanced Attack Too Much For The Cavaliers

The Pistons added another W to the win column Sunday afternoon in Cleveland, taking down the Cavaliers in their own building 90-78. Though the game stayed close at the start, the Pistons looked in total control throughout the game. Chauncey led the team with 18 points and 10 assists, but his ability to get all his teammates involved was what helped the Pistons control the game.

Key Points:
  • The Pistons have now taken 5 straight from the Cavaliers.
  • Rasheed and Chauncey both had double-doubles.
  • Cavs fans are weak, nobody even booed Rasheed. Where are the Rasheed must bleed signs now?
  • The Pistons had 16 turnovers, 5 of them came from Chauncey.
  • It must be nice for Rip to not have to shoulder the whole load, he had just 10 points on 3-8 shooting, but he did his best to drive the lane and get to the stripe.
  • One of the referee's kicked out a fan during the game. I don't know what he said but I haven't seen that before. UPDATE: It was a member of LeBron's entourage, who was hassling all three refs because LeBron wasn't getting any foul calls.
  • Seriously, how good has C-Webb been for this team. 15 points on 7-for-10 shooting and 6 rebounds in 28 minutes.
  • Maxiell had a nice Dunk over Ilgauskas. He played just 5 minutes.
  • Tayshaun had a nice block on Varjao. Thankfully Varjao played just 12 minutes - he bothers me.

  • The Pistons looked focused and in control the entire game.
  • They had a bigger problem with the Bucks Friday night.
  • They did a great job holding LeBron back.
  • How many times do we have to hear that Webber isn't what he was when he was 20 years old. Who is the same person 15 years later?
  • Tayshaun hit back to back 3's in the opening minutes of the ballgame to spark the Pistons.
  • Davis had a hefty 3 minutes.
  • I know I say this a lot but Hamilton needs to quit complaining and get back on D.
  • How about those behind the back passes lately from Webber and Billups.
  • Webber does somersaults for this team.....Literally!

  • 6 Pistons in double figures.
  • Rasheed and Webber both had 15.
  • I wish Lindsey Hunter would stop shooting 3's, he was 0-for3 from downtown. Those were his only shots of the game.
  • Delfino played well in his 10 minutes on the floor, including a 3 pointer that stretched the lead out for the Pistons.
  • Scott Pollard looks like an idiot.
  • The Pistons shot 49% from the floor.
  • 21 assists for the Pistons.
  • Poor LeBron only went to the line 3 times.
  • I know everyone thinks Donyell Marshall looks like Ludacris, but I think he looks like a grown up Webster.
  • Billups and Prince each played 40 minutes.
  • Billups not only was the leading scorer for the Pistons but he ran the show very well.

  • The Pistons are back on top of the Eastern Conference.
  • The Pistons are now 7 and 3 since Webber arrived.
  • I wonder if YAYSports is still boycotting his Cavs.
  • Seemed like endless open jumpers for the Pistons.
  • Dice is definitely back.
  • Can someone please explain to me why Drew Gooden has one small round patch of hair in the back of his head and nowhere else. It looks like a bunny's tail.
  • Chauncey had the prettiest rainbow floater over LeBron.
  • Sheed had a couple of put back one handed Jams.
  • Webber was wearing a microphone during the game. Wouldn't that be bothersome?
  • No Flip no Nazr.
  • The Pistons looked like they wanted it from tipoff. They played scrappy and hard at both ends of the floor.
  • Cavs fans tend to boo their team a lot.
  • After The Pistons totally dominated the fourth quarter, the best Cleveland could do was mock Detroit. Should you mock when there is a minute left and your down by 10? It's Ohio so I understand.
  • Who the hell is their P.A. Announcer? Oliver Sedra
  • It looks like Sheed, Chauncey and Mike Abdenour didn't appreciate the Detroit Turnover thing either.

Great summary; I promise to condense my giddiness, over the team I love to rag on; because of their assumption that they should be better than the Pistons this year. You just have to forgive me when the Cadavers are the subject. Yes, YAY SPORTS should consider focusing on the Tribe; this King stuff is a horrible disillusion, and second rate, in comparison to a certain guard who used to play for Chicago.

We won comfortably, but the stats didn't make sense; we out-rebounded Cleveland, and they had fewer turnovers. That's backwards, but we held the bench contributions equal; unusual, but another thing in our favor.

The DEEE-TROOIT TURRRRN-OVER was an embarrassment in front of the nation; as if the Pistons weren't in control of the game - what losers! What in the world were they thinking??? Pistons wanna-bees to the core, without a clue. That was about as funny as Sheed backing down Marshall in the post; like taking candy away from a baby!

Just having added C-Webb has striped the Cadavers of any hope, and it clearly showed. Let's move past them; they aren't a factor anymore.

Varejao is at the top of my "I can't strand list; great photo with the mop-head look ~ my lock for loser of the year.

Great somersault recapture... I thought Detroit would record more assists/fewer turnovers... LeToe doesn't worry me anymore... Dice is nice... IT'S ALL GOOD!

THE ABRIEVIATED END

How you gonna come out with some ridiculousness like "D-troit Turnover" when your team is DOWN BY TEN!?! Still don't like the red uniforms though -- who wants to look EXACTLY like the Clippers? Apparently they're some sort of fan favorite according to the pistonsdotcom polls.

Yes Garold..Dice is nice and the turnover thing did make me think. As for Varajo its pure hate.

I am not a huge fan of the reds either, but they seem to do well in them so I am not complaining.

Jess.....I have seen that video before and I hate to say this. I laughed my freaking ass off for about 5 minutes straight. I am so immature!

The PA announcer was so immature because he is such a sore loser! He's like a little kid that just says stupid stuff and tricks himself into thinking it's all good.
Lindsey Hunter was good off the bench even though he wasn't the best offensivly he still had a great night on defense with a couple of bigg steals at the end.

i AM THE FAN FROM dEN WHO SAID SHE DID NOT LIEK THE FACT THAT WEBBER WAS COMING TO DETROIT. I Said I would be the first one to admit if I was wrong with his coming. I am not all convinced and will not be until they win in the end but I am coming around. I like what he brings to this team and the players seem to like playing with him. I have not be able to attended alive game since his coming but I will Feb 25 when I come home for a visit. I live 1.5 hrs away form the place when I am home so I hope the weither is good to me. WEl this game was a great one and leaves great hope for this team. I justed wanted to say I am starting to like the idea that webber is one this team. He seems to have had no back problems as he had so many in philly this year. I guess he will play when a team is winning.

Natalie,

Can you do anything other then poke fun at other teams at the expense of your Detroit Pistons? You seem rather childish in the way you pick tiny little nuances out about every team the Pistons beat. Why not try to stay classy for once in one of your post game wrapups. Give credit where credit is do rather then make excuses for your Pistons. Your clown pictures and bitching about silly things like the other teams PA announcer are childish.

I am Childish and I love what I do. Try to find one true fan that doesn't talk shit about their teams opponents.

To me its not bitching it's part of being a fan for your team. I don't do what I do to please anyone but myself or give my perspective on the game. It is who I am, and if you read the site on a regular basis you would know that I in fact do give credit when it is due.

So I will keep doing just what I am doing...and if the Cavs would have won the game I am sure a bunch of their fans would come here and voice their opinions on the game. It's called being a fan.

Damn, if the CAVS were a true contender and if LBJ was really the true Air-apparent, we wouldn't be ragging on him. MJ can make shots from anywhere, LBJ can't. MJ plays hard and defends hard, I don't know what LBJ does except primp for all those commercials and he ain't that good looking. So poster above, please don't into Need4sheed to bitch.

I can't wait for the public to start ragging on LBJ like they ragged on Peyton Manning for not winning the big ones when they realize that this guy just don't have it. And my opinion only, LBJ look the most un-natural in that NIKE commercial. Dude, learn to play basketball first, all your so-called acting in those commercials are lame. GAG!!!

Stay off the site if you don't like the content. And go and root for your punk ass team. When your team gets to be an powerhouse like them Pistons, as a fan, you can be as immature about it as you want. Until then, keep crying bout stupid shit cause your team aint on our level.
PS. If you are a cavs fan---PLEASE STOP!! Tell your owner to at least jock off of someone in another division. Get some ideas from an international team or something. That shit is way past old. Cause all I "WITNESS" is your team being JV to our VARSITY.

I swear I will never understand why those who are not Pistons fans visit this site and think they have some right to comment on what's being posted on here! They obviously do not have the fan dedication of their own to have their own site to visit. I thank you, Natalie, for using your spare time to make me laugh at your fun pictures, and to update us all on what is going on with OUR team. And so what if you are childish.... quite frankly it's fun to be able to laugh and be young at heart....
