Around The Way

Yay! The Orange Roundie Is BACK and better than ever!
  • The Basketball Jones Podcast talks about the Chris Webber signing. They also have an exclusive interview with Elie Seckbeck, the NBA reporter who is totally blowing up right now thanks to his YouTube fame.
  • Not to be outdone, Detroit Bad Boys has their own Elie interview that you should check out.
  • This Elie guy is so hot that Free Darko had a round table discussion on him.
  • Henry at TrueHoop is not sure about C Webb and the Pistons chemistry.
  • The Human Victory Cigar has a very real look at what's wrong with this Pistons team. This one is a must read for Pistons fans.
  • 3ManLift.com has their NBA Mid Season Report.
  • Marko Jaric can't even seem to put his jersey on the right way. Maybe Joe D should think about this one a little more. See for yourself.

while he was walking to the court, he "accidentally" put his jersey on backwards.

Yeah- Marko rhymes with Darko and just for that reason alone Dumars should stay away. Its not really an upgrade. Seeing him AND Flip Murray in a pistons jersey in one season is too much for me.

I just read the piece at The Human Victory Cigar...

Man, Saunders better get his act together QUICK! I've been trying since the playoffs to be to patient with him, but if he's alienating Sheed, he hasn't a prayer of lasting beyond this season. He actually looked like a man on-the-outside-looking-in at the Press Conference. I figured there was something more to Terry Porter and Dave Cowens being brought in this season.

Utah, huh? Last week, I figured that they'd steal the Pistons lunch. If Chauncey's ready for this one, maybe we'll surprise them; almost got them in their gym. Realistically, we are probably weeks away from expecting to win every night; if Flip gets puts his game face on? Speaking of Flips; anyone interested in Murray?

I think I've changed my mind about Jaric for Nazr. Hmmmm, maybe he is that dumb!?! Nazr for Bonzi is sounding better now, although I was hoping Flip for Bonzi originally. But we still need a backup PG! I'd still like to see Delphino backing up Chaunc; just to see if that could really work. Mad Max would make a nice change of pace resting Tay, hmmmm?

Hey, ponder on this everybody.

PG-Chauncey
SG-Rip
SF-Tay
PF-Sheed
C-Webber

Now the back-ups...this is what I want you to ponder

Pg-Hunter ; Blaylock
SG-Delfino ; Murray
SF-Maxiell ; Dupree
PF-McDyess ;
C -Davis ; Mohammed

That would be a very strong defensive set right there...3 big men. Great defense with good shooting from Delfino and Mcdyess but there would be no way to
drive on those 3 guys down low.
