Delk, U.S. National Team and Chauncey Billups

It's a busy Pistons day, as most of you probably have heard the Pistons are very close to signing back up point guard free agent Tony Delk. Denver, the Los Angeles Lakers, Utah and Miami also were rumored to be in the mix to sign Delk but its clear Delk would like to sign with Detroit. Lucky guy if you ask me, he's probably at the jewelry store right now getting fitted for his ring.

Chauncey Billups was named to the U.S. National Team roster. Chauncey was among 22 players on the list. Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince were asked but declined the invitation.

It's a great day all around for Chauncey who will be returning to his home town tonight to play the Denver Nuggets. I found a must read article on "Mr. Big Shot" in the Denver Post. The author Jim Armstrong calls out all fans to pay tribute to Chauncey, who was once a Nugget, tonight at the Pepsi Center.
